The cultivation of coffee is established as its main activity around which the municipal economy revolves, a region of brave people who make an effort to produce coffees of origin with high quality standards. Tamara has an extension between 1,181.81 km2, characterized by its diversity of fauna and flora as a consequence of its variety of landscapes, within which are observed: 75% mountain, 20% hillocks and 5% valley and foothills. These conditions, both geographic, microclimates and soil types, as well as the influence of the Cocuy mountain, give special attributes to the products of this beautiful Colombian region.
